The Universal Orlando Resort is home to some truly incredible rides and attraction experiences that only Universal can offer. Rides like Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Jurassic World VelociCoaster have truly set a new standard for what it means to be a thrilling and well-themed roller coaster. Sure, rides like Expedition Everest and Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT are both impressive in their own right, Universal truly hit it out of the park when it comes to its two newest roller coasters.
However, Guests will find a lot more to do at both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure than just roller coasters. Guests can also enjoy water-based activities like Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges and Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls.
Guests can also experience the classic Jurassic Park River Adventure, a ride that has been operational for decades. Water is a crucial element of any good theme park, and this can be seen at Universal and Disney. Disney was, of course, home to many classic water-based rides such as Kali River Rapids, Pirates of the Caribbean, Living with the Land, and the now-defunct Splash Mountain.
Water is used as a theming element at these resorts as well, and recently, the water changed significantly at the Universal Orlando Resort.
As you can see in the photo shared below, the water at Universal Studios Orlando is inexplicably turning blue. The specific area is the lagoon near Suess Landing and the Lost Continent.

A large amount of blue dye has been dumped into the lagoon. This color change is due to some sort of testing going on in the area.
As we stated earlier, the Universal Orlando Resort is home to some truly incredible rides and attractions and will soon be home to a whole new theme park known as Epic Universe. This new park is expected to open sometime in 2025 and will house some truly incredible experiences for Guests. Among the new offerings is SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and a new expansion of Uiversal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Orlando, Florida, is a fantastic place to spend a vacation, with access to places like SeaWorld, Universal Orlando, LEGOLAND, and, of course, Walt Disney World.
